About me and how I work with you…
I am (she/they) a qualified humanistic counsellor with a PG Dip in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Brighton University. I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and follow their ethical framework for good practice. I am also a member of the Gendered Intelligence community.
I endeavour to practise with compassion, in a way that respects our differences, working to understand the impact of these on mental health and wellbeing. I have an affinity with the experience of feeling different; particularly when this feeling becomes overwhelming and affects our daily lives.
Within my practice, acceptance and understanding are key to our work as well as building a strong working relationship between ourselves. I recognise that we all exist in different ways and my approach within our sessions will recognise that; whether working with you using creative methods or just sitting and talking, your sessions will be unique to you.
Previous therapeutic work has seen me working for Mind; advocating for neurodiverse children and their parents as well as transgender youth, I also volunteer at Worthing Counselling Centre. I have lived experience of nuerodivergence and supporting those in the transgender community.
